Enkod is an educational platform focused on modern web development.
The idea came from a simple observation: there is often a significant gap between how developers are taught and how software is actually built in production.
University programs usually provide a strong theoretical foundation, but they cannot evolve at the same pace as the software industry. Online courses often teach frameworks and libraries, but many stop before covering architecture, deployment, documentation, collaboration, or long-term maintenance.
As a result, many developers know how to build small examples but have limited experience building complete products.
Enkod exists to reduce that gap.
The platform focuses on practical software engineering using modern tools, real-world projects, and workflows that reflect how development teams work today.
Rather than treating programming as a collection of technologies, Enkod treats it as the process of designing, building, documenting, deploying, and maintaining software.

#Open Source First
Open source software is one of the foundations of the JavaScript ecosystem.
Most developers use open source packages every day, but relatively few publish their own.
Enkod encourages developers to move beyond consuming software and begin creating it.
This includes writing reusable libraries, publishing npm packages, documenting APIs, designing developer-friendly interfaces, and maintaining projects over time.

#Growing the Ukrainian Developer Ecosystem
Ukraine has a strong engineering community and many successful products, companies, and open source projects.
However, much of this ecosystem remains difficult to discover, especially for new developers.
One of Enkod's long-term goals is to make these projects more visible by publishing educational content about Ukrainian startups, APIs, engineering teams, libraries, and technologies.
The objective is to help developers learn from local examples while maintaining the same engineering standards used by global technology companies.
